I’m proud to share the annual report of my first year in office.

July 1, 2018 marks my first full year in office as the Councilwoman for the Seventh Council District. From enduring back-to-back natural disasters to bringing cultural events and fighting for our share of City services, I’m working hard to make up for lost time when our communities didn’t have a voice. I am excited to share with you the accomplishments we have achieved in this first year.

In my first year, I’ve secured $18.4 million in capital improvements, kept my promise and prioritized public safety through the creation of a Homelessness Task Force, Equine Advisory Council and Strike Team. I also delivered on critical traffic safety measures in Pacoima, Sylmar, Sunland-Tujunga and La Tuna Canyon, and secured funding to begin the process of building a new fire station in Sylmar. I will continue fighting for our neighborhoods to improve the quality of life and bring new resources to our community. Progress can be accelerated with collaboration and strong partnerships, and I look forward to continuing working together to ensure our neighborhoods achieve their full potential.
