Juan serves as the Sylmar Area Director for Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez.
His goal is to connect different stakeholders in order to increase community engagement and civic awareness. Prior to joining the Council District Seven, Juan graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science. At CSULB, Juan held multiple positions within student government and was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Phi National Fraternity, whose philanthropy, Ability First, raises funds and awareness for people with disabilities.
After graduating, Juan interned with San Fernando City Mayor where he assisted in planning the City of San Fernando’s first LGBTQ forum and passing Indigenous People’s Day.
Juan is a born and bred valley resident of Mission Hills. In his free time he enjoys swimming at Hubert H. Humphrey pool in Pacoima, rallying the Chicago Bears to a win, and keeping up to date on local, national and international affairs.
